Duties: Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications to patients; prepare and package medications for distribution; maintain inventory of medications and supplies; enter prescription information into computer systems; answer phone calls and assist with customer inquiries; provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals; adhere to all pharmacy policies and procedures.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; previous experience working in a pharmacy setting in Ontario is required; knowledge of medication administration and dosage calculations; strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling medications; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment; proficient computer skills, including experience with pharmacy software systems.
As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy team in providing quality patient care. Your responsibilities will include assisting pharmacists in dispensing medications, maintaining inventory, and providing excellent customer service. You should have a strong knowledge of medication administration and dosage calculations, as well as excellent attention to detail.
